With the sun comes the smoothie bowls! And it would be wrong not to have a good chocolate flavoured recipe up your sleeve. This recipe is big enough to make one large bowl or two small bowls to keep in the fridge and spread across two days.
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 2 tbsp of cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/4 cup of nut butter (almond butter works well)
- A couple of ice cubes
- Blend all ingredients together and either eat straight away or set for a while in the freezer for a more ice cream like consistency.
- Top with fruit, nuts, seeds, coconut chips, cacao nibs or organic dark chocolate.
